The 3rd Saturday evening of the month the Wright hosts an entertainment program that varies from a Frank Sinatra tribute singer to Blues to Blue Grass to 50’s Oldies band to a 40’s Big Band, Country and Folk Singers and more. These free programs that welcome your donations are intended to expose our community to a variety of music genres. Like many of the programs at the Wright snacks, cookies, pop, coffee and water are supplied by the “Friends of The Wright”.
Night of Irish Folk Songs and More With Rosewood Bridge
(Brian Quigley & Jim Dunnigan)
June 15, 2019, 7 to 9 pm
Russell Park Gazebo
Main Street Akron, NY
Rosewood Bridge plays favorite acoustic songs, Irish and Americana songs, a little country, a little rock, and a few originals too. The music lead singer Brian Quigley plays and writes is inspired by Celtic folk songs, the folk music of the 1960’s, and by the music of contemporary singer songwriters. He has performed at many of the local pubs and festivals and recently was thrilled to have the chance to sing on stage with one of his heroes, Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary. These days you can find Brian and Jim bringing the fun of Rosewood Bridge to pubs and parties all over Western NY. Rosewood Bridge is folk, acoustic, and a little bit more. You’ll likely know most of the lyrics, but if you don’t, you will by the time the song is over!
